Valentine’s Day isn’t just for couples! If there are kids in your life, chances are they’d like to be involved in the celebration as well. Check out some kid-friendly Valentine’s Day activities:
- Cookies! Who doesn’t like a little sugar? Whether you’re baking them from scratch or just decorating store bought cookies, you and your little ones will have a blast making goodies to give to friends, family, neighbors, or just to eat during an impromptu picnic on the floor. Of course, the traditional colors of Valentine’s Day are pink, red, and white, so get creative and see what kind of beautiful confections you can make.
- Cards and Crafts. Nothing says “love” like handmade cards. Moms and dads, grandparents, cousins, aunts and uncles, friends, nannies, babysitters, teachers–yes, even siblings deserve a special card on February 14th. Once you’ve made heartfelt letters for all the important people in your life, check out some other crafty activities to finish using up all the glitter, paint, stickers, and markers.
- Fun at Skate World Deer Park! Remember, the most important thing about love is to spend time together. Roller skating isn’t just fun; it’s also good for your body. Work off all those treats you made before while spending an afternoon, or an entire day, skating together and listening to great music. Plus, extra exercise will make bedtime go that much more smoothly.
Valentine’s Day is a great opportunity for kids to have fun and be creative! Take a break from homework and the pressures of work and school an spend some time together celebrating your family.
