The Science of Skating engages students in a 45-minute lesson on science topics, covering Sir Isaac Newton and his Three Laws of Motion, force, balance, and even the movements of the Earth and the rest of the solar system. Then students have another hour and 45 minutes to put their lessons to work in the skating rink. Roller skating is an excellent example of these principles! Every aspect of skating clearly demonstrates the Laws of Motion, all the way from starting to turning to jumping to stopping. Students who are exposed to these ideas in a fun, engaging way will never again utter the dreaded phrase, “but how will we use this?”

Groups can add lunch, snacks, and additional attractions to their field trip depending on their needs. Pricing is always customized based on the size of your group and any extras you might want, because education isn’t one size fits all, and we don’t believe field trips should be either!
